Monument to the "Св Трезвінню" or "St. Sober"

Some time at the turn of last century one priest rallied the villagers AGAINST drinking, seeing how it was ruining their lives. It's said they lost everything they had just to settle their debts at the Shinok (tavern). And who did they loose it to!!!
These Shinoks were traditionally owned by jews (shinkari) and thewise priest used this as his rallying cry. It worked. At least for a while.
