The area around Primorsky Boulevard is at times strikingly beautiful and whole, but at other times it's sadly broken, braking, crumbling... The Gogol street has gotten something of a face lift, but it feels like a heavy-handed make over. This would be an interesting preservation project, probably worthy of UNESCO status.
We tried capturing these idiosyncrasies by peeking into courtyards of prominent (like the one that serves as a backdrop to the Duke) and just ordinary buildings.
